On 7th February, starts the seciond sunrise period for .EU. This aims at a larger audience. Sunrise I was really for public bodies and trademarks holders. Sunrise II will allow the holders “a holder of an other prior right that is protected under the national law”, ie you given name, to also register although this means paying the “Sunrise tax” of 100 EUR.
If you cannot that sum to protect your name, your only hope to get “yourname.eu” is to have a very little used name, one that will not be registered before 7th April.
