In these election times, where PR is the key to being reelected, two US democrat senators urge the Bush administration to create a .XXX domain.
Their goal would be to force the porn sites out of the .com domain and fining them if they do not do so. Their spokesman agreed that “forcing international adult sites to move from com to “.xxx” would be difficult”, which is an understatement. There would be no legal way to force a non-us site out of .com.
So unless one is convinced that these two senators are completely stupid, the only conclusion one can think of is that it is a typical electoralist campaign slogan.
